You have to work on the inside...

The view outside my office window.

I recently did a massive de-cluttering and re-organizing of my home office. It feels so good and I'm working on projects without being drowned by piles of paperwork. But one of the reasons the inside job feels so good is because I can better enjoy the outside view. A dear friend has been spending his spare time building this outdoor garden and waterfall for me to enjoy. It's still a work in progress, but you can see how awesome it is. I even washed my office windows so I could see more clearly!

As much as I stalled on tackling this huge project (took me months just to decide to do it), I had the lightbulb moment that this clearing and cleaning project was a metaphor reminder to do the work on the inside in order to enjoy the view on the outside. Oh yeah, coaching moment just arrived.
