How To Be Happier: Quit Following Conventional Wisdom or Bad Advice

Probably the most freeing thing I've done in recent years is to stop following bad advice and conventional wisdom. It took me awhile, but I learned that following bad advice was keeping me stuck, small-thinking, and fearful. I minimized and rationalized my own thoughts. I didn't speak up. I stayed in unpleasant situations longer than I should have. I didn't dream big enough.

Now I know better.

Oh, and how do you know if bad advice is bad advice? Learn to trust your gut!!!

Once I stepped away and started looking at things from a different angle, I realized how I was allowing myself to be held back. I started realizing how people were projecting their fears and small-mindedness onto me. All of that changed when I discovered my own foundational power. I started digging deep and figured out why I am the way I am and why I do the things I do. I even discovered some things I didn't know I could do!

When you have a deeper sense of self and when you develop a strong internal core--when you finally know who you are and why you're here--you will have tapped into a well of light and knowledge that will become a game-changer for you. The key is to develop your foundational blueprint--a guide for living, a guide for getting you through life's transitions, a guide for getting you from where you are to where you want to be. (I'll be talking about a foundational blueprint in upcoming posts—it’s my own unique program that I’ve developed and have been using with clients to help facilitate decision-making and action-taking.)

So, what conventional wisdom or bad advice is holding you back? Creating awareness around what's keeping you stuck is the first step in moving forward. And if you want to know more about a Foundational Blueprint and how it could apply to you, feel free to shoot me a message and we can have a quick conversation.

Cheering for you!
